Bobby Allen Ritter, 88, loving husband of 47 years to the late Zelma Rae Cunningham Ritter, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born June 16, 1937, in Anderson County, KY, he was the son of the late Rene Augusta Ritter and Virginia Francis Brewer Ritter.

Bobby was a Christian man and a devout church goer. He was a deacon for a time at Shelby Christian Church. Later he helped found Anderson Christian Church and held many titles there including; charter member, deacon, and elder. He also was a member at Graefenburg Christian Church and was the former treasurer for the Salt River Christian Men's Fellowship. Throughout his life, Bobby was also a sports fan. When he was younger, he was the pitcher for a fast pitch softball team. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and basketball, but his favorite team was always UK. Bobby spent several years of his life driving a van to pick up ill patients and take them to treatment. He also loved to mow his lawn, and to tinker with his lawn mowers. Bobby knew just about everybody and was known as a good man. Nobody knew that better than those who called him Dad, their father-in-law, Pop-Paw, or G-Pop.

Bobby is survived by his son, Allen "Scott" Ritter (Pam) of Bowling Green, KY; a son-in-law, Tom Phillips, of Lawrenceburg, KY; a sister, Mary Louise Waldridge, of Waddy, KY; three brothers, Raymond Ritter (Sheila) of Herndon, KY, Gene Ritter (Debbie) of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Steve Ritter (Robin) of Waddy, KY; three grandchildren, Shkala Smith (Alex) of Alvaton, KY, Matthew Phillips, and Hannah Phillips, both of Lawrenceburg, KY; two great grandsons, Oliver Smith and Adrian Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Phillips; and a sister Carolyn Ritter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Bro. Andrew Messinger officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Cunningham, Rory Cunningham, Keith Ritter, Chris Ritter, Jason Ritter, and Ernie Conyers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Graefenburg Christian Church's Deacons and Elders.
