Bobby Raymond Lacefield, 79, husband of 54 years of Janie Brock Lacefield, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born August 15, 1937 in Anderson County, Bobby was the son of the late George Andrew Lacefield and Anna Kate Young Lacefield.

Bobby was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a farmer. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1960-62 and in the Army Reserves from 1962-66. A graduate of Anderson High School, Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church, a former member of the Alton Baptist Church and served as a director with the Anderson County Farm Bureau. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper.

Along with his wife of 54 years, Bobby is survived by two children, Jeffrey Ray Lacefield and Melissa Lacefield Revel and her husband Tony, all of Harrodsburg; his grandson, Caleb Anthony Revel; his mother-in-law, Clarice Brock; and two sisters-in-law, Alma Lacefield of Shelby County and Mary Disponett Lacefield of Lawrenceburg. Including his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Evelyn Shely and two brothers, William Jesse Lacefield and George Edward Lacefield.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, Dec. 31st at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Herman Perry, Jeff Young, Mike Lacefield, Jerry Shely, Troy Lacefield, and Danny Brock. Honorary bearers will be Doug Lacefield, Greg, Mark, and Kevin Henson, Matthew Tyler, Patrick Brock, and members of the Believers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
