Bobby Shely Janes, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. Born June 27, 1934 in Nelson County, KY, Bobby was the son of the late Jake and Emma Janes.

Bobby served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a former employee of Byrd Siding Products. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson Daniel and his wife Stephanie and their three children, Anna, Coleman, and Lilly.

Bobby is survived by a daughter, Carrie Janes of Lawrenceburg; a grandson, Daniel Coleman Peach (Stephanie) of Lawrenceburg; three great grandchildren, Anna, Coleman, and Lilly; and a brother, Jackie Janes (Joyce) of Bloomfield. Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Sheila Janes Peach and a brother, Sylvester "Tooter" Janes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Dedman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Peach, Martin Peach, Terry Peach, Stephen Peach, Jackie and Jeremy Janes.
