Bobby Gene Hatter, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, husband of 53 years of Betty Lowe Hatter, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg. Born Oct. 1, 1943 in Casey County, KY, he is the son of the Late Lillie Wall and Charles Clinton Hatter.

Bobby was a retired employee of Osram Sylvania Lamp Plant in Versailles and served in the KY Army National Guard. He was a family man, who enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, singing, and playing rhythm guitar with the gospel group Firm Believers of Casey County.

Along with his wife, Bobby is survived by two sons, Jacky (Judy) Hatter and Robby (Peggy) Hatter of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Curt (Chera) Bowen, Jeremy Bowen, Jenna Jeffers Savage, and Casey Hatter; five great grandchildren, Cody (Lynsey) Bowen, Laiken Jo Bowen, John Austin "Jack" Savage, IV, Mason Gene Hatter, and Lainey Taylor Marie McKinney; four sisters, Joanna Floyd, Juanita Carman, and Betty (Gary) Falconbury, all of Casey County, and Rose Alma (Wallace) Sims of Lincoln County; two brothers, Charles Leonard (Rita) Hatter of Washington County, Lynville (Cathy) Hatter of Casey County; two sisters-in-law, Jean and Cathy Hatter of Casey County.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas and Ronnie Hatter; and a sister, Roberta Hatter.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastors Terry Cooper, Joe and Margaret Gay, and Lynville Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Dude Caldwell, James Sims, Cody Bowen, Casey Hatter, Leonard Hatter, Barney Floyd, Rusty Ruble, and John Shouse.
