Robert Edward "Bob" Works, entered into eternal rest with Jesus on December 26, 2020 in Lexington, KY, after a five year battle with lung cancer which he subsequently won.  He was born in Fayette County, KY on March 12, 1940 to the late Robert V. Works and Alma Williams Works.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sandra K. Rowan Works of Lawrenceburg, KY, three children, Lisa Works Thudium (Paul) of Walton, KY, Stephen T. Works (Amanda) of W. Columbia, SC, and Curtis M. Works (Paula) of Sadieville, KY.  Bob cherished his four grandchildren, Brian Thudium, Laura Thudium, Dalton Works and Mackenzie Works.  In addition, Bob is also survived by his brother, Timothy Works (Lucille) of Burton, MI.

Bob was a Marine Corps veteran and a long time firefighter in the Lexington Fire Department where he rose to the rank of Battalion Chief.  He was very active in the churches he attended, most recently he was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg for the past 21 years where he served as a Sunday school teacher and as a deacon.

Private services will be held for the family on Wednesday, December 30 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Mike Hamrick will be officiating along with Pastor Timothy Works.  Burial with Firefighter Honors will follow at the Sand Spring Cemetery.
