Blanche Clay Patton, 74, of Lawrenceburg, wife of the late Vernon Patton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born July 5, 1942 in Ligion, KY, Blanche was the daughter of the late William and Mahala Mae Mullins Clay.

She was also predeceased by a son Richie Dean Elkins, a daughter Debra Mae Elkins Rainey, a granddaughter Maria Lynn Elkins, a sister Kathleen Caudill, and two brothers Ronald and James Arnold Clay.

An LPN nurse for over 30 years, Blanche enjoyed helping her patients and worked in several nursing homes including Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg. She attended Hope Community Church and enjoyed painting, drawing, her animals, and most of all her family.

Blanche is survived by three children, Kenneth Ray Elkins (wife Marie) of Melvin, KY, James Michael Elkins of Prestonsburg, and Wendy Lou Rainey (Brian Ritchie) of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Nesba Dailey of Ligion, KY

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Blanche's special angels, Julie Brothers and Kim Pendleton, for their love and care over the past several years.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, July 31st at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY. Terry Cooper will officiate the service. Visitation will be 1 – 4 PM Sunday. According to Blanche's wishes cremation will follow the services.
