Billy Leon Bottom, 83, husband of the late Lillie Mae Chilton Bottom, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home. Born July 8, 1934, he was the son of the late R.D. and Ethel T. Harmon Bottom.

Mr. Bottom was a retired employee of Sylvania in Versailles and served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Claylick United Methodist Church and former member of the Stringtown Ruritan Club. Enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, and watching the Cincinnati Reds.

Mr. Bottom is survived by his two sons, Donald L. Bottom and Ronald L. Bottom of Lawrenceburg; his two sisters, Jean (Hunter) Casey of Lexington and Jewell Bottom of Harrodsburg. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a son Shannon Bottom and 10 sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 17 ^th beginning at 11 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Pastor Kenny Robinson and Rev. Charlie Shewmaker will officiate the service. Burial will follow with military honors at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Thursday.
