LAWRENCEBURG – Billy Joe Bailey, 70, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home. He was born June 28, 1943 in Frankfort, KY to the late Nevel and Beulah Woolums Bailey.

Billy was a former superintendant for Wilhite LTD and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Wheels of Time Car Club, the Skinner's Boat Club in Erlanger, KY, and enjoyed CB radios where he was known as "Buck Skinner."

Billy is survived by his long time companion, Mallissa Evans Walker; three children, Harold R. Bailey (Christy J. Perkins), Cheryl Ann Price (John Armstrong), and Angela Carol Smith (Marvin Wynn), all of Frankfort; three step children, Kimberly (Kenny) McGuire of Mt. Vernon, James Delbert Campbell of Nicholasville, and Susan (David) Johnson of Lexington; 9 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Jane (Wayne) Lewis of Frankfort, Nevelyn Ann Terry of Lexington; his best friend, Ronnie and Margaret Peach; and his beloved dog "Precious".

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, March 18th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Monday.
