Billie Carol Hyatt Hendry, 82, wife of Donald Hendry, Jr., passed away August 27, 2022 at Baptist Health Lexington.  Born in Hellier, KY on January 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Morris Hyatt and Hilda Mae Clevinger Hyatt.

Billie Carol worked as the secretary to the superintendent for the Anderson County Board of Education for many years.  She served in this position for former superintendents, Andrew Byrd, Paul Polly, and Ronald "Sonny" Fentress.  A member of the First Christian Church, she formerly served as deacon and church treasurer.  She attended the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.  Her other memberships included the Anderson County Cattleman's Association and a Kentucky Colonel.

Including Donald Hendry, Jr., husband of 61 years, she is survived by her children, Donald Hendry, III (wife Sandy) of Lawrenceburg and Marcia Hendry (husband Patrick Gibbons) of Katy, TX, four grandchildren, Whitney Carolyn Hendry, Ashley Hendry Ruble (Maddy Ruble), Samuel Gibbons, and Benjamin Gibbons.

A service will be held at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery pavilion on Tuesday, August 30 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Jim Wheeler will officiate the service.  No public visitation will be held.
