Bill Barker Live Broadcast

William Anthony "Bill" Barker, 68, husband of Beth Blakeman Barker, passed away March 15, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington.  Born October 5, 1954 in Harrodsburg, KY, Bill was the son of the late Norman D. Barker and Patsy Tucker Barker.

Bill worked as a farmer, banker, and an employee at General Cable and at Herrick Company, Inc.  A member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, his hobbies included hunting, fishing, golf, and cooking.  He enjoyed cooking for his co-workers at General Cable and watching University of Kentucky basketball.

Including Beth, his wife of 29 years, he is survived by children, Kevin Hall (Alicia Finnell), Brad Burge (Ragan), Jason Peavler (Elizabeth), Blake Drury (Monica), and Brett Drury; 5 grandchildren, Zane (Madalyn) Drury, Natalie Drury, Sadie Burge, Austin Peavler, Sophie Hall; twin great granddaughters, Ruby Jane Drury and Ada Kate Drury; his sister, Barbara Barker Beasley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved fir-baby, Elvis.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 18 ^th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM followed by the service beginning at 2:00 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Coke, Robert Coke, Chris Coke, Michael Crabill, Jackson Blakeman, and Zane Drury.  Honorary bearers will be Ira Blakeman, Paul Coke, Doug Herrick, Ricky Allen, Jimmy Perry, and Katie Blackburn.
