Betty Searcy Young, age 99, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Young, and her two sons, John Earl Young II and James S. Young.

Born on October 5, 1922 in Lawrenceburg, KY, Betty retired as a bookkeeper for the Lawrenceburg National Bank and previously worked for Fox Creek RECC.   In her retirement years she enjoyed socializing with friends at McDonald's, Huddle House and Tonya's.  One of her greatest joys was her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Ann Young of Lawrenceburg, daughter-in-law, Shelby Bowman Young of North Carolina, her grandchildren, Lindsey S. Copeland and James Maxwell Young, both of North Carolina, and her two great grandchildren, Landon and Sean Copeland.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 29 ^th at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery pavilion with Chad Cooper officiating.  Betty's cremains will be buried beside her husband and sons in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
