Betty Jean Tuttle Kinney, 84, of Salvisa, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. The wife of 65 years, married July 23, 1950, of James Wilson Kinney, II.

Born April 22, 1931 in Petersburg, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Leberyl and Grace LaMaster Tuttle. She was a housewife, a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gospel music and spending time with her family.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Kinney is survived by four sons, James W. (fiancée Lisa) Kinney III, Terry L. (wife Marylene) Kinney, Timothy E. (wife Marilyn) Kinney, and Philip W. (wife Adeline) Kinney; 8 grandchildren, James W. Kinney IV, Tony Kinney, Adam Kinney, Maria Kinney, Nicholas Kinney, Bia Kinney, Jacob Kinney, and Jeelian Kinney; 2 step grandchildren, Chad and Connor Runyan; 6 great grandchildren, James W. Kinney V, Ashley Thomas, Jonathan Kinney, Brooklyn Kinney, Aidan Kinney, and Amirra Runyan; 7 sisters and brothers, Margaret Hopkins, King Tuttle, Geraldine Karrick, Glenn Tuttle, Howard Tuttle, Linda Walker, and David Tuttle.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay Kinney, two sisters, Joy Todd and Bonnie Mann; and a brother, Wayne Tuttle.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, Aug. 4th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with Bro. Jonathan Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon – 2 pm Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be James W. Kinney III, Terry L. Kinney, Timothy E. Kinney, Philip W. Kinney, Nicholas Kinney, Jamie Kinney, Tony Kinney and Adam Kinney.
