Funeral Service Broadcast for Betty Hyatt Trent

Betty Frances Hyatt Trent, 88, wife of the late William Carl Trent, passed away March 3, 2025 at her home in Lawrenceburg.  Born in Anderson County, KY on January 7, 1937, Betty was the daughter of the late Vernon Hyatt and Ruby Dennis Hyatt.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Thomas "Tom" Best and Allen Wayne Best; and siblings, Bobby Hyatt, Lewis Hyatt, Linda Hyatt Gill, and Lula Hyatt Gay; half siblings, Morris Hyatt, Elizabeth Murphy, Nellie Keys, and Virginia Warfel.

Betty was an employee of Wild Turkey Distillery in her younger years and later worked along side her husband, William Carl Trent at Trent Plumbing in Lawrenceburg.  She then helped her son, Tony with his restaurants, from Southern Shores to Rio's Steakhouse.  She was a member of the Red Hatters and loved dancing.

Betty is survived by her children, Bobby Lewis (wife Margie) Best, Carl Anthony "Tony" Best, and Carla Frances Trent (husband Brian) Pauley; her grandchildren, Thomas Pauley, Connie Wayne Best, Colin Best, Misty Tackett, Cayleigh Best, Clayton Best, Michael Best, Wesley Mason, Shelly Garrett, Robbie Best, Jeana Wright, and Jason Best; her siblings, Vernon (Lou Ann) Hyatt, Jr., Clarence Hyatt (Sue Murphy), Shirley Thornberry, Jane Hodges, and Carol (Darrol) Haydon; ; and sister-in-law, Sue Hyatt.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Terry Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Thursday and after 9 AM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Pauley, Connie Wayne Best, Bryan Hyatt, Robbie Best, Dudley Davenport, Michael Best, Lucas Best, and Layne Day.
