Betty Barnett Funeral Service Broadcast

Betty Sue Maddox Barnett, 67, wife of William A. "Dub" Barnett, passed away August 28, 2024 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center-ER.  Born in Anderson County on February 21, 1957, Betty Sue was the daughter of the late George Gilbert Maddox and Dorothy Alice Drury Maddox.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Georgia B. Goodlett, Mary Josephine Maddox, Shirley Wolfe, and Mildred Jean Darnell.

Susie worked several jobs in earlier years, later becoming a homemaker.  She attended Sand Spring Baptist Church with her sister Edith and her membership was held at Alton Baptist Church.

Including Dub, her husband of 50 years, Susie is also survived by her siblings, Edith Richardson, John Gilbert (wife Shirley) Maddox, Elaine Spicer, and S. Marie (husband Allen) Hellard, all of Lawrenceburg; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wolfe and Robert Goodlett; sisters-in-law, Wanda Rucker, Linda (Jimmy) Morgan, and Wilma Humphrey; and several nieces and nephews who were like children to her.

Visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm Saturday.  Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Alton Cemetery.
