Betty J. Black Stucker, 77, passed away December 9, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born in Anderson County on August 26, 1946, Betty was the daughter of the late James Floyd Black and Verda Ann White Black.

Betty retired from the Kentucky Department of Library & Archives after 30 years of service. Despite graduating from Anderson High in 1964, Betty lived most of her life in Frankfort. She attended church at the former West Frankfort Church of God. After retiring she didn't stop working, she took up mowing yards and cleaning offices. Betty loved playing canasta, going to Trooper Island, and fishing. Most importantly she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by two children, Wendie (Stephen) Beswick and Jason (Ronetta) Stucker all of Shelbyville, Ky; a grandson, Mason Beswick; a step-granddaughter, Mandda Johnson; and a step-great granddaughter, Kira Johnson.

Betty, along with her parents, was preceded in death by sister, Naomi Ann Black.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 2 PM Friday, December 15, 2023, followed by the service at 2:00 PM. Dr. Jeff Eaton will officiate the service.

Honorary pallbearers will Wendie and Stephen Beswick, Jason and Ronetta Stucker, and Mason Beswick.
