Betty Rakes Funeral Service Broadcast

Betty Ellen Barnette Rakes, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Betty was born April 15, 1939 in Washington County, KY to the late Harv & Annie Brothers Barnette.

Betty was a former secretary for Rand McNally in Versailles and a former realtor.  She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church and loved dogs and flowers.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Lewis of Lawrenceburg, Clayton Eugene Lewis of Lexington; grandchildren, Matt Lewis, Mykayla Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Josh Shouse and Justin Shouse; great grandchildren, Michael, Lexi & Ryleith;  great-great grandchild, Evelynn; a brother, Jackie Barnette and his wife Garnetta of Lawrenceburg.

Including her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Shouse; a grandson, Timothy Lewis; a sister, Virginia Peach; and three brothers, Billy, Kenneth & Charles Barnette.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Chesser officiating.  Visitation will be from 11 A.M., till time of service at 1 P.M.  Cremation will follow the services.
