Betty Boggess Hazlewood, 97, widow of Chesley Hazlewood, passed away May 26, 2026.

She was a member of First Christian Church and the Victory Sunday School Class.  She worked for the Department of Economic Security for 13 years.

Betty is survived by four children, Greta (Larry) Patberg, Richard Hazlewood, Gerry Hazlewood and Janice East; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Peggy Boggess; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cora and Wallace Boggess, two sisters, Louise Gatewood and Edwina Jones, and a brother, Wally Boggess.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 am until the time of service at 12 noon.
