Betty Marie (Guthrie) Black, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home. She and her husband, Bob Black of Lawrenceburg, would have been married for 69 years on June 2 ^nd .

Born October 20, 1928 in Carlyle, IL, Betty was the daughter of the late Merle and Helen (Bozarth) Guthrie. She was a retired clerk with the former Western Kentucky Gas Company in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Frankfort VFW Post 4075 Auxiliary.

Along with her husband, Betty is survived by her three children, Michael David (Gin) Black of Midlothian, VA, Robert Shawn (Julie) Black and Shelly Ann Black Williams, both of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Shay (Diane) Black of Germany, Jamie Williams of Lawrenceburg, Chris Ratterree of Richmond, VA, and Steve Rucker (Alisha) of Lawrenceburg; three great grandchildren, Wesley Black, Michael Black, and Gavin Dishon; and her brother, David (Ida) Guthrie of Centralia, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2 ^nd beginning at 12:00 (noon) at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Rucker will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 am – 12 (noon) on Saturday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Baker, Steve Rucker, Ott Elliott, Howard Mountjoy, Mark Coyle, and Rhonda Baker.   Honorary bearers will be Jo White and her late friend, Nancy Baker.
