Betty Rose (Moore) Birdwhistell, 88, originally of Lawrenceburg, KY, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 in Lexington, KY, where she had lived for the past five years. She was the daughter of the late Thurman D. and Mary Robinson Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Harold "Hoot" Birdwhistell.

She is survived by her three sons, Craig Birdwhistell (Debbie) of Georgetown, Terry Birdwhistell (Janice) of Lexington, and Barry Birdwhistell (Karen) of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Catherine Birdwhistell Barker (Stephen) of Lexington, Amanda Birdwhistell of Louisville, Tyler Birdwhistell (Kelsey) of Elizabethtown, and Jessie Birdwhistell (John Christopher Smith) of Lexington; and four great-grandchildren, Jax and Miles Ward, William Birdwhistell, and Zoe Birdwhistell. A fifth great-granddaughter, Sophie Elizabeth Barker, is due July, 2018.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 7 ^th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, KY. Visitation 1:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
