Barry Scott Terrell, 56, husband of Kerry Grace Decker Terrell, passed away October 12, 2026 in Lexington, KY. Born in Frankfort, KY on February 2, 1970, Barry was the son of Barbara Ann Goodrich Terrell of Frankfort, KY and the late Charles Lee Terrell.

Barry graduated from BCTC with an associate’s in computer engineering and worked as a fraud investigator for the Transportation Cabinet for over 15 years. He was described by his family as being very funny and loving playing cards. Barry was an amazingly devoted husband who loved his wife Kerry, along with her he loved his puppies, Bella and Cooper. He was also a devout Christian. Barry loved to golf and was an avid UK Fan, regardless of the sport.

Along with his father, Barry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie & Rozena Terrell and his maternal grandparents, Lucian & Mary Lee Goodrich.

Barry is survived by his wife and mother, along with his brothers, Brian Terrell (Tonya) of Frankfort and Chuck Terrell of Frisco, TX; in-laws, Linda & Jimmy Morgan of Lawrenceburg; his stepson, Bronston Mitchell of Lawrenceburg; a sister-in-law, Misty Decker of Lawrenceburg; and a nephew Brenden Sutherland of Lawrenceburg.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. F.D. Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Sunday. Burial will follow the service at Hebron Cemetery. The family has requested that everyone wear UK Blue in Barry’s memory.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brenden Sutherland, Sidney Penn, Rick Wacker, CJ Doane, Jeffrey Kring, and Dennis Fritz.
