Barry Dean Simpson, age 60, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his home in Anderson County.  Barry was born August 16, 1962 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to Ann Buntain Simpson of Anderson County and the late Johnnie A. Simpson, Sr.

Barry was a former factory worker, and served his country as a PFC with the U.S. Army.  He attended the Glensboro Baptist Church, loved to sing, read his bible, and loved his boys.

Including his mother, Barry is survived by his wife Sherry V. Jones Simpson of Lawrenceburg;  his children, Michael Adam Simpson, Jeremy Lance Simpson, Anthony Dale Simpson, Levi Nathanial Simpson, Lucas Andrew Simpson, Vinni Elliott, Brittany Lotz & Nicki Elliott, all of Lawrenceburg, and Josh Elliott (Nathan) of Ohio;  grandchildren, Cai & Elliott Simpson, Jonah Simpson, Taryn Simpson and Marcus Lotz;  a sister, Angela C. Pike of Mt, Eden;  brother, Johnnie A. Simpson, Jr. (Pam), of Lawrenceburg;  a sister-in-law, Beverly Simpson, of  Lawrenceburg;  and several nieces and nephews.

Including his father, Barry was preceded in death by a brother, Edward R. Simpson;  and a brother-in-law, Richard R. Pike.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 P.M. till time of service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.
