Barbara Suzanne Kauffman, age 92, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023.  Barbara was born June 14, 1930 in Macomb, IL to the late Kenneth Dill Murrell and Louise (Zimmerli) Murrell.

Barbara received her bachelors degree from the University of Florida, She was a former field archaeologist for the Yorktown History Center and Senior Associate with First Investors Group. She was a former member of the Oral Historian Kentucky History Center, a genealogist with the Anderson Public Library. She was also a member of the Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Association, Whale Adoption/Friends of the Forest,  Kentucky History Society, the Scottish Clan "Clan Macleod USA".  She enjoyed herb gardening, yoga and painting.

Barbara is survived by a son, Donald Mark Lindenfelser of Lexington, KY;  grandchildren, Stephanie Fitzsimmons, Heather Lindenfelser, Brooke Fitzsimmons and Kierston Lindenfelser;  and four great grandchildren.

Including her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two sons, Kurt Kauffman and Thomas Charles Lindenfelser, and an infant son.

No public services are scheduled.
