LAWRENCEBURG – Barbara Jean Arnett, age 75, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 in Lexington, KY.  Barbara was born March 13, 1949 in Hamilton, OH to the late Robert J. Arnett and Corene Victoria Studer Arnett.

Barbara was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She was a retired Accountant with IBM in Lexington, with over 30 years of service, and finished her career as a Project Manager for Sage Software.  Barbara enjoyed volunteering with the Anderson & Franklin County Senior Citizens, assisting with the filing of taxes.  She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Job's Daughters.  Barbara enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Patricia "Trisia" Penwell and her husband Larry of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Jeremy Powell (Rachael), Jennifer Powell, Melissa Powell, Victoria Davis (Manny), Evan Hay (Ciara), Jessica Goodpastor (Daryl) and Myleka Byrd (Andrew); eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert J. Arnett, Owenton, KY and Jimmy Arnett, Mason, OH; life long friends, Hillary "HeHe" Burton, "Doe" Zitscher, who loving called Barbara "BaBa" and Chip & Hitomi Clark.

Including her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Picciolo.

No public services are scheduled.
