James "Anthony" Massengill Service Broadcast

James "Anthony" Massengill, 45, husband of 20 years to Stacy Marie Purvis Massengill, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Bardstown.  Anthony was born February 20, 1976 in Lexington, Kentucky.

Anthony was the owner and operator of Perfect Pools & Patio's in Bardstown, a job in which he loved.  He enjoyed his four wheeling group, music, playing his drums, and was an avid U.K. Sports Fan.  But his greatest joy and love was gathering with his family to make memories that will last forever.

Including his wife Stacy, Anthony is survived by his mother, Shirley Dee Fox Massengill of Bardstown;  his children, Andre Massengill and Trista Craigmyle, both of Bardstown;  his brother, Rob Massengill;   his in-laws, Mike and Laura Purvis of Lawrenceburg, Wanda and Ronnie Burgin of Waddy;  his sisters-in-law, Christy Purvis of Waddy, and Devon Henry of Lawrenceburg;  his brothers-in-law, Chad Burgin (Lena) of Washington State, Wesley Henry (Erin) of Frankfort, Shawn Purvis (Hannah) of Frankfort and Brandon Burgin of Waddy.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Robert Massengill.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 9 P.M., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and after 8 A.M. Thursday till time of service.

Casket bearers will be Myron Baxter, Chris Chambers, Jamie McGuffin, Nathan Fields, Ott Rose, Chad Burgin and Shawn Purvis.  Honorary bearers will be Mike Purvis and Ronnie Burgin.
