Anna Cottrell Funeral Service Broadcast

Anna "Russ" Russell Cottrell, age 98, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home with her son on September 30, 2023, in Lawrenceburg, KY. She was Born in Lawrenceburg, KY, on February 20, 1925. She was the daughter of Stanley and Edna Mae (Cox) Watts. She married William "Bill" Henry Cottrell on December 22, 1943. They lived a long and beautiful life on their farm in Anderson County.

Anna was always involved with her church and for many years called the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church home. Her greatest joy in life was serving the Lord and taking care of His children; including her own, her three generations of grandchildren, the others she kept over the years, and any she came across.

She is survived by two sons: William "Bill" Jr. (Dolores) Cottrell and David Russell Cottrell; five grandchildren: Ronda (Kevin) Franck, Eric (Stefanie Groot) Cottrell, Neil (Cathy Wares) Cottrell, John (Adrienne) Hunt, and Lee Ellen (Dathan) Perry; eleven great grandchildren: Nancy (Kurgan) Quisenberry, Will Franck, Anna Cottrell, Miranda Cottrell, Emily Franck, Austin Holt, Fiona Cottrell, Kase Hunt, June Cottrell, Madison Hunt, and Jonah Cottrell; two great-great-grandsons Archer and Alton Quisenberry; and son-in-law Ernie (Connie) Hunt.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two children: James Ronnie Cottrell and Mary Lee Hunt, a grandson: David Holt Jr., a brother: James "Bud" Watts, and a daughter in-law: Connie Cottrell.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Stewart-Wilcox and Dr. Jeff Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M., till time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Pall Bearers include: John Hunt, Eric Cottrell, Neil Cottrell, Will Franck, "Shorty" Clarence Davis Bowman, John Kelly Chilton, Dathan Perry, and Kurgan Quisenberry.

Honorary Paul Bearers include: Austin Holt, Hazel Smith, Larry Robinson, Charles Wayne Bowman, and Kevin Franck.
