Anna Bond Chilton, 88, passed away on September 15, 2025, at her home in Lawrenceburg. Born May 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Huntley "Jake" Hawkins Chilton and Margaret Louise Springate Chilton.

A proud graduate of Anderson County High School, Anna went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Kentucky State University. She later received a master's degree from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, where she dedicated over 40 years as an administrator. In her role, she was instrumental in planning and designing academic assessments for students. After retiring and returning to her hometown, Anna remained active in her community. She was a devoted member of several organizations, including the Anderson Humane Society, the American Association of University Women, America in Bloom, and the Friends of the Library.

She had a special affection for animals, especially cats, and shared a close bond with her beloved cat, Dooley, who was her loyal companion in later years. She also enjoyed visiting local wineries, a passion she developed during her years in California.

Anna is survived by her nieces, Lou Ann Hyatt (husband Vernon), Cheryl Louise Chilton, and Jana Cuddy; her nephews, Vernon Caldwell, Jr. (wife Cindy) and Jeff Cuddy; and a very special friend, Laura Watts.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her siblings, Jennie Claunch, Bennie Earl Chilton, and Donald H. Chilton.

In keeping with Anna's wishes, she was cremated. No services are scheduled at this time
