Ann Lewis Washington, 83, our much-loved sister and aunt, departed this world on November 14, 2020.

Ann was born on November 16, 1936 to Lewis and Lucille Pleasant Washington in Lawrenceburg, KY.  Ann was the older sister of Pearl Bennett (Thomas Allen), Rose Marie (Merle Cunningham), and Genevia Elizabeth; and was preceded in death by sister Martha Ellen (1935).

A current member of the Southern Star Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, Ann was a former member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.  She served on the Mother's Board and Pastor's Aid at her church and was a member of the Lawrenceburg Democratic Women's Club.

Though Ann had no children of her own, she was not childless, as she was often the source of nurturing for her nieces and nephew: Melissa Lynn (2007), Merle Jr., Alicia Ann (Ulrich), Stacie Marie (Daryn), Jeneen Bennett (Doug), and Elizabeth Rhea (Rudy). Ann's love also extended to her great-nieces and nephews: Katianna Lynn, Allasandra Bennétt, Kalissa Allen, McKenzie Taylor, Aliviya Charles, Leila Rose, Jonathan Alexander, and Dallas Jordan.

In addition to her immediate family, Ann is also survived by an uncle, Darnell Pleasant, and a host of cousins and special friends.

Ann is loved and she will surely be missed, but we take peace in knowing that she has been united with her parents and family that have gone before.

Whether on earth or on the other-side, we will always find a way to show up for you.

Private services will be held at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Barry C. Johnson, Sr. will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Hills Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, KY.
