Ann Green Smith, 91, of Frankfort passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of James Gilbert "Bud" Smith. Born August 17, 1923 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Price Green and Virginia Pattie Richardson Green.

Mrs. Smith retired as a seamstress for Act One Costumes of Dayton, OH. She sewed the very first Kentucky Wildcat mascot uniform. A member of the Alton Christian Church, she also worked as a volunteer at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith is survived by four children, James "Buddy" Smith (Sandra) of Lawrenceburg, Charlotte (Bob) Hood of Frankfort, Robert (Mary) Smith of Monterey, TN, and Mike Smith of Shepherdsville; 10 grandchildren, Vicki (Larry) Vanhoose, Annette (Steve) Coffee, Julie (Aaron) Goodpaster, Tim (Stephanie) Hood, Chris (Katie) Hood, Micah Smith, Derek (Melissa) Smith, Kyle (Shera) Smith, Andy Butler, and Krista Mohr; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Price Clover.

Funeral services will be 12 (noon) Monday, Aug. 10th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 – 12 Monday.
