Ann Russell Spencer Richard, 83, passed away on July 7, 2026, at The Lantern in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born on July 26, 1942, in Frankfort, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Collins Spencer, Sr. and Russell Fallis Spencer.

Ann was a lifelong member of First Christian Church, where she was welcomed into the Cradle Roll as an infant and faithfully served throughout her life. She loved her church dearly and served in many capacities, including as an Elder.

Ann graduated from Anderson County High School, Eastern Kentucky University, and completed her graduate studies and Rank I certification at Georgetown College. She devoted many years to teaching in the Anderson County School System, where she impacted the lives of countless children. Ann was also a dedicated member of the Pierian Women's Club of Anderson County.

Along with her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, William Collins Spencer, Jr., and his wife, Jean Spencer; and her sisters, Jane Champion and her husband, Paul Champion, and Peggy Cheak.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, Wayne Richard of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Ann is survived by her two sons, David Wayne Richard of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mark Allen Richard of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her grandsons, Christopher Richard and Ryan Richard; and her brother-in-law, Jim Cheak.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Wainscott, Roy Toney, Jimmie Jeffries, Bob McAnly, Mike Sparrow, and Jack Morris.

Memorial donations in memory of Ann are suggested to the First Christian Church Bus Fund, 300 S. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342.
