Amy Beth Powell Hughes, 52, wife of Brian Hughes, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center – ER.  She was born November 11, 1968 in Shelby County, KY, daughter of the late Ronald and Carolyn Bright Powell.

Along with her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her first husband Master Sergeant Clinton Wayne Cubert.

A social worker for New Vista in Lawrenceburg, Amy enjoyed socializing, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandkids.

Including Brian, her husband of six years, Amy is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Ezra) Hopper of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Lexi and Case; step-children Alisha Cubert of Floyd County, KY, Ashley Hughes of Florence, and Dylan (Taylor) Hughes of Virginia; a brother, Tim (Anne) Powell of Shelbyville; a niece and 3 nephews, Grace Powell, Taylor Powell, Conner Powell, and Casey Powell.

A time of visitation will be held from 5 – 7 pm Monday, Sept. 20 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  A gathering of family and friends will follow the visitation at Shooters Billiards, 88 Bluebird Ct., Lawrenceburg, KY.
