Obituary

Agnes "Aggie" (Gritton) Peach, 87, wife of the late Coleman Peach, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019. Born August 25, 1931 in Anderson County, Aggie was the daughter of the late O.H. Gritton, Sr. and Margie (White) Gritton.

Along with her husband and parents, Aggie was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy McMichael.

Aggie retired as a bottling line supervisor for Jim Beam Brands in Frankfort for 25 years. She formerly worked for Southern States, State D.E.S., and Ballard Drug Store. Aggie was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Homemakers Sunday Class and served on the Senior Adult and Food Service Committees. She was a former member of the Friendship Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Aggie is survived by her four children, Terry Coleman Peach and his wife Kathy, Glenn Martin Peach, Judith Ann Searcy and her husband Ray, and Stephen Glaze Peach, all of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Tonya (husband Brad) Ashby, Jarrod Blakeman, Shelley (Josh) Moore, and Daniel (Stephanie) Peach; 9 great grandchildren, Leann Ashby, Kaylea Blakeman, Wesley Ashby, Sam Moore, Cole Blakeman, Anna Peach, Rylie Moore, Coleman Peach, and Lilly Peach; her sister, Linda Baxter of Lawrenceburg; and her brothers, J.G. "Bud" (wife Drucilla) Gritton, O.H. "June" (wife Juanita) Gritton, Jerry (wife Judy) Gritton, and Larry (wife Linda) Gritton, all of Lawrenceburg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4 th from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5 th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Gritton and Dr. Robert F. Ehr will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Peach, Jarrod Blakeman, Brad Ashby, Wesley Ashby, Cole Blakeman, and Josh Moore. Honorary bearers will be the members of the Homemakers Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
